Welcome to Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý!
We are the Catholic, Jesuit University in Kansas City, Mo., and part of a Jesuit network of 27 universities and colleges in the United States. The Jesuit tradition in higher education is more than 450 years old, and Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý has been part of that tradition since 1910. Our 25,000 graduates belong to the worldwide Jesuit network of more than 2 million alumni from 186 colleges and universities.
At Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý, we focus on learning, leadership and service in the Jesuit tradition while welcoming students of all faith traditions. We do this on the undergraduate and graduate level. These concepts are experienced in the instruction of the intellect, the training of the will, and the formation of character. For St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), stressed that we were created to praise, reverence and serve God. He considered the goods of the earth, including education, as a means to assist us in the pursuit for which we were created.
Please enjoy the exploration of this website to learn more about our undergraduate and graduate programs designed to assist you toward the end for which you were created. I also encourage you to explore the campus map. Our campus has experienced an expansion and transformation over the past decade. Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý is located in a city that prides itself on more than five major league teams, terrific jazz, more than 200 fountains and lots of great barbecue. Kansas City is also a shoppers’ paradise and a national center for scientific research in the life sciences and animal health.
We'd love to welcome you to campus to experience Kansas City’s jewel of Jesuit higher education, Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý.
Sincerely,
Sandra Cassady, Ph.D.
