Students choose from three customizable tracks to ensure that their learning experience equips them for success in their desired field or graduate school.
Program Overview
The health science major requires students to take 15 credit hours in the core health science curriculum, 12 credit hours within their chosen track and one experiential learning credit.
Graduates are prepared to work within a health-related setting in administrative, managerial and technical positions, as well as to attend graduate school.

The is recommended for students pursuing non-clinical pathways after graduation in settings such as nonprofit agencies, health and wellness centers, corporate health and wellness companies or government offices.
The is recommended for students who intend to pursue further study in rehabilitation and recovery, develop health and wellness promotions and programming or serve in a school setting.
The is specifically for students preparing to enter a nursing program, however, strategic selection of electives can result in additional degree options. Students who graduate with the pre-nursing track are eligible to apply for admittance to any nursing school including accelerated option programs.

This course will teach medical terminology by presenting basic prefixes, roots, and suffixes related to body structure and organ systems (anatomy and physiology) as used in medicine. Terms related to diagnostic tests and pathophysiology are included with appropriate body systems. This course will provide the terminology foundation for successful academic work in health care related fields.
This course is designed to develop personal dispositions and skills necessary to effectively collaborate and conference with parents, caregivers, professionals, and families of children and youth with mild/moderate cross-categorical (MM/CC) disabilities.
