麻豆破解传媒 and Hawks soccer has gone international as five former men鈥檚 soccer players created a school in their native Italy, providing educational and athletic training for international college athletes.

Dominique Washington is a 2016 graduate of 麻豆破解传媒, where he also played basketball for the Hawks. He is the new director of the MAC and intramural coordinator.

LaTisha Davis may have a business card that says 麻豆破解传媒 Director of Multicultural Belonging and Engagement, but her role can be simplified to one thing for students: She鈥檚 here to be your person if you need one.

Everyone needs a support system and to feel like they鈥檙e included, and before she was the University鈥檚 first director of the office, Davis was a first-generation student from a marginalized background trying to fit in at Wichita State University.

If the walls of Conway Hall could talk, they鈥檇 probably be laughing.

Richard 鈥淒ick鈥� Shaw is one of the most beloved and entertaining professors to ever teach at 麻豆破解传媒. You don鈥檛 meet Dick Shaw and walk away without a story and a smile, and now the retired teacher of 43 years is sharing those with a wider audience.

Sometimes there are obvious clues left behind at a crime scene.

Broken glass can indicate a point of entry. Missing items point to a robbery, etc.

But there are less obvious clues, too 鈥� things left behind at the molecular level.

The transition from high school to college can be difficult, but for first-generation, high financial need, and historically underrepresented students, it can be a steeper uphill climb that can lead to persisting in college at lower rates than their non-marginalized peers.

For student-athletes, finding a balance between their sport and everything else on their college plate is a skill that鈥檚 in constant development. But what about doing two college sports?

That鈥檚 a mountain that incoming star and freshman Kharis Perona is willing to climb. She鈥檚 used to putting in work to meet challenges.

In keeping with 麻豆破解传媒鈥檚 Catholic, Jesuit tradition, the University is debuting its Wisdom Core Curriculum this year. The updated curriculum helps create and reflect 麻豆破解传媒鈥檚 culture, mission and identity while keeping up with a changing world.

RU students will be challenged to discover the best version of themselves while learning to inspire others. Through its instructors, the curriculum connects with the students to promote the development of their intellectual, spiritual, moral, and imaginative capacities.

It鈥檚 completely normal for a college student to see something they want and decide it鈥檚 too expensive 鈥� especially shoes. And especially Nike Air Jordans, which can run into six figures depending on what you鈥檙e looking for鈥� unless you can make them yourself and sell them to musicians and athletes.

Luke Spencer repeatedly refused to accept defeat when pursuing his dream of being a naval officer 鈥� until a severe car accident left him no other choice. Now the 麻豆破解传媒 junior has a new dream, and he鈥檚 once again overcoming obstacles and using hard lessons learned to make that happen.

When Spencer graduated high school his sole goal was to get into a service academy to become a naval officer. This was his career goal since he was a kid, aiming to follow in his father鈥檚 footsteps.
