鶹ƽý Recognized on Money Magazine’s “Best Colleges” List for Value
鶹ƽý earned the highest ranking among institutions in the Kansas City region and the second highest ranking in the state of Missouri on Money magazine’s 2022 Best Colleges in America list.
The list, which focuses on college value, looks at 2,400 four-year colleges “with sufficient data and above-average graduation rates,” scoring each institution on 24 different measures in three areas — quality, affordability and outcomes — that are important to families making a choice about what college might be the best fit for them. In other words, it’s all about value.
"This year's Best Colleges list is a new take on our long-standing commitment to helping families make a smart college choice," wrote Money executive editor Mike Ayers about the rankings. "We changed things up so more students could use this list to make educated choices about investing in their future."
Among the factors evaluated, 鶹ƽý has an average time to graduation of approximately four years and notable success in several financial aid measures, with approximately 84% of students’ financial needs met and 100% of students in need receiving grants to help pay for college. For Carmen Panlilio, Ph.D., interim vice president for enrollment management, the ranking is the result of efforts to not only ensure students are successful after college, but that they also have the financial support and resources to excel while here.
“We are always honored to be recognized among the best colleges in the nation. This ranking shows what our current students and our alumni know firsthand — 鶹ƽý offers a transformative education taught by highly qualified faculty; a student experience with unique opportunities for service and leadership; and a worldwide network of alumni in high-demand fields,” Panlilio said. “We pride ourselves on being able to offer this high-value education to all students.”
