In the international business concentration of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BSBA) in the Helzberg School of Management, students gain special insight into what it means to go global. Students gain an understanding of the unique challenges inherent to globalization so they can plan and implement successful business strategies. They will also learn about current theories on process and organization to best support international business operations.

In addition to international business major coursework, international business students complete two innovative sequences as part of the BSBA core. Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý's Helzberg School of Management developed both the professional readiness sequence and the technology and predictive analytics sequences based on market research and consultation with hiring managers at area corporations to prepare students for the evolving workplace. Students also have the option to pursue Excel certifications as part of their studies.

This course introduces the student to the basic business workings of corporate and nonprofit organizations including major functional areas and managerial processes with attention to emerging research about strategies and practices of high-performing organizations. Students will examine leadership issues such as influencing, working in teams, and developing self-awareness.
This course is designed to introduce students to statistics and predictive analytics. Students will be able to identify business use cases for predictive analytics, apply and interpret Exploratory Data Analysis output; identify basics of inferential statistics for business problems, use regression as a predictive modeling tool, use other forecasting tools and models to solve business problems, extract data from external sources, apply time series methods and modern analytics programs such as R, and communicate results of data analysis.
This course examines the international and corporate responsibility/ethical contexts in which trade, investment, and business decisions are made. It introduces the legal, economic, political, and cultural differences among countries and it examines how these differences affect the conduct of international business. It discusses a range of topics highlighting sustainability and corporate social responsibility as well as bilateral, regional, and world trade agreements, foreign direct investment, and exchange rates.
This course builds upon several key concepts introduced in MG 3350 - Business in Global Environments. It extends the discussion of how political, economic, legal, and technological developments are affecting the management of international business operations. It pays special attention to the role of culture and the challenges inherent in managing employees, operating facilities, and targeting markets across cultures. Finally, it examines the managerial and ethical implications of various international entry modes.
