Center for Career Development Mission
To create an inclusive environment for all students that provides equitable access to educational opportunities for self-discovery and professional development, and to foster relationships with internal and external partners that facilitate intentional learning experiences, mentoring connections, and career opportunities.
Set up an RU Career Account with us by attending a registration workshop in Massman 3 offered:
- Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
- Thursdays at 1 p.m.

Schedule an appointment with one of the professional staff and take advantage of the following resources.
- Resume and Cover Letter Examples - Staff are available to meet one on one and review your materials.
- Mock Interviews - Get feedback on your performance and gain that competitive edge.
- Dining Etiquette - Learn how to navigate your way through a professional dining situation.
- Professional Dress - Make that positive first impression.
- Employment Search Strategies - LinkedIn, RU Career Account, employer web pages, networking, etc. Learn how to navigate and target your employment search.
Workshops and Presentations
Staff are available to present on career-related topics including resume and cover letter writing, interview techniques, career search strategies and more.
Internships & Co-op
Earn academic credit for your internship by enrolling in our Co-op Program. Internships allow you to test drive career options in an authentic working environment, put academic theories into practice and sharpen real-world skills. To be eligible for an internship, you must:
- Be a full-time undergraduate student with a minimum of 60 completed credit hours
- Have a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Be able to work a minimum of 50 hours during the semester/term

Employment Scam Warning Signs
If you observe any of the following, you may be the target of an employment scam.
- The position seems too good to be true
- You are offered the position before interviewing
- Your personal account info is requested
- The person is hiring "while away on business"
- You are asked to cash a check
- The website domain is different than the email
- Something just doesn't seem right
