Merit-based Scholarships
Merit-based Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý scholarships reward transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 and higher. You must be a full-time student with high academic standing to be eligible to receive renewable academic scholarships.

Distinguished Scholarship | |
$19,500 | Awarded to transferring students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher. |
Founder's Scholarship | |
$15,400 | Awarded to transferring students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0-3.59. |
Endeavor Scholarship | |
$11,300 | Awarded to transferring students who have a cumulative GPA of 2.6-2.99. |
DESE Education Transfer Scholarship | |
$4,000 | Awarded to two transfer students interested in an undergraduate education degree. Scholarship available for Fall 2022, Spring 2023, Summer 2023, and Fall 2023. |
$1,500 | Awarded to students who have demonstrated outstanding service. Limited number awarded. Service resume and essay required. |
Family Award | |
$1,000 | Awarded to each undergraduate, dependent student in the family currently attending Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý. |
Veteran Award | |
$1,000 | Awarded to transferring students who are U.S. military veterans. |
Transfer Advantage | |
$500 | Awarded to transferring students from eligible community colleges. |
Ignatius of Loyola Award | |
Variable | Awarded to selected students who demonstrate financial need and who meet the Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý financial aid guidelines. |
Fine and Performing Arts Award | |
Variable | Entering freshmen or transfer students who audition, interview or submit portfolios |
Bernadette and Richard Miller Scholarship | |
$3,000 | Entering full-time freshman or transfer students who have demonstrated outstanding community service and service to their church. Service resume and essay on most impactful service experience required. Limited number awarded. |
Bloch Scholars | |
Variable | The Bloch Scholars Program covers tuition and fees to help promising students complete their bachelor’s degree at Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý. The program is sponsored by the Marion and Henry Bloch Family Foundation and the H&R Block Foundation. |
Athletic Awards**
Awarded by the Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý athletic department, athletic scholarships are based on athletic ability. Scholarship amounts vary up to full tuition, room and board. Contact 816-501-4141 for more information.
** Offers of athletic aid will be coordinated with other institutional aid to meet NCAA equivalency requirements. Aid packages may have to be reevaluated.

Â鶹Æƽ⴫ý has the right to evaluate institutional financial aid packages. The total institutional award from RU may not exceed the cost of tuition. Students can receive more than one scholarship, but never both competitive and academic scholarships.
